Martin Merlin

Martin Merlin is Director for Banks and Insurance at the Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union of the European Commission. After beginning his career as a member of the Trésor, he joined the European Commission and worked consistently across the domain of Financial Services. He was Head of Unit coordinating Financial Services Policy in the Commissioner’s Cabinet and Director of Financial Markets. Mr Merlin holds a degree in Philosophy and Political Sciences.
